Tickets are now available for the holiday engagement of Cirque du Soleil’s Wintuk. The family-friendly extravaganza begins performances at Madison Square Garden on November 11 and is set to play through January 3.
Wintuk is as an exciting adventure about a boy’s quest for snow and his extraordinary journey to an imaginary land called Wintuk. The boy and his companions deliver endless excitement, exhilaration and intrigue. Cirque du Soleil’s thrilling acrobatics combine with breathtaking theatrical effects and memorable songs to create a show that’s playful, musical and bursts with the energy of the city and the magic of a wonderland.
Wintuk features an international cast of 50 performers. It is written by Richard Blackburn, directed by Blackburn and Fernand Rainville, choreographed by Catherine Archambault and composed by Simon Carpentier with lyrics by Jim Corcoran. The creative team includes Guy Laliberte (guide), Francois Barbeau (costume and puppet design), Patricia Ruel (set, props and puppet design), Francis Laporte (image and projection design), Guy St-Amour (acrobatic and rigging design), Daniel Cola (acrobatic performance design), Jonathan Deans (sound design), Leon Rothenberg (sound design), Yves Aucoin (lighting design), Matthieu Larivee (lighting design), Rene Charbonneau (puppet design), Michael Curry (props and puppet design) and Eleni Uranis (makeup design).
